I’ve been playing backgammon for a long time, but it wasn’t until I started playing real money backgammon online that I became a serious player.  I’ve just always been really competitive, and backgammon can be a very competitive game.  But there is only so much you can get out of playing family and friends without going overboard.  So when I heard about internet backgammon I was hooked.

I jumped online and started checking out all the real money backgammon sites.  There are a ton out there so if you’re new to the scene let me give you a tip; look at a few backgammon blogs to find tips on what the most popular sites are.  These blogs are written by insiders and have a lot of good information.  That’s how I read up on a few that I then played around with to see which had the best graphics and most user friendly program.  You also should be conscious that many backgammon sites are also offering free money bonuses for joining, so try not to miss out on that.

But once I joined it didn’t take long to be fully into real money backgammon.  It provided that extra incentive I needed and the thousands of other online players provided the competition.  I’ve enjoyed it so much and become such a better player I’m even thinking about trying to qualify for the pro tour.  I don’t know if it’s a long shot or not but I’m going to try.  So my advice to you is to throw down that backgammon board and get online.  You’ll be glad you did.
